About

My name is Perry Gagliano. Thanks for visiting. This website is simply a place where I share some thoughts about

life, leadership and faith.

I have a Bachelor's degree in business from Mississippi College and a Masters degree in the science of management from Belhaven University. I worked in corporate America in banking, finance, and insurance and as a special investigator but it wasn't until early 2010 when I answered the call to full-time vocational ministry. I now serve as the executive pastor at Redeemer Church in Rockford, Il.

I am passionate about the local church. I believe a life-giving, local church is God's primary vehicle for bringing the hope of Jesus to the world. My passion is to lead a healthy church culture by discipling spiritually and biblically and by implementing strategic systems and processes in order to see lost, broken and confused people found, mended and purposed by Jesus Christ.

I enjoy playing drums, reading, and spending time with my family but I gain my greatest satisfaction through leading others to be fully devoted followers of Jesus. I am the very proud husband of Beth, father of 2 sons, Everett and Locke, and 2 daughters, Lyric and Haven.

Purpose

My purpose is to be  Spirit-led, life-giving husband, father, shepherd, leader and friend. There are 3 biblical principles that guide me.

 Life-Giving

I believe that Christians should be the most life-giving people on the planet because we are carriers of the gospel or "good news". The true gospel is life-giving and contagious. If our leadership/ministry burdens more than lifts, deters more than compels, it’s not the gospel, it’s religion.

I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.

John 10:10

 Spirit-Led

There is a big difference between knowing about God and knowing God. If we never sit with God, we will never really walk with him. And if we don’t walk with him, we will never be led by Him or lead like Him.

He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant—not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

2 Corinthians 3:6

 Faith-Actioned

We lead out of conviction, not fear. Our conviction is grounded on the inerrant truths of Scripture. A courageous leader is not always fearLESS but still leads when he is fearFULL.

For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands,

for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.

2 Timothy 1:6-7
